We are LiA SC, the Latinos in Architecture Student Chapter. Having various professional LiA chapters in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and San Francisco: our organization is its first-ever student-run chapter at the University of Texas at Arlington.
After personal discoveries, we realized that most students in the School of Architecture at UTA are Latino, yet there wasn’t a specific organization that represented this reality. In response to being underrepresented, we created LiA SC to foster a place where students can network and gain skills that will contribute to their career success.
As a group that holds significant ground, we want to make our voices heard and create positive impacts on our community: not just for ourselves but for everyone behind us and those who have helped us along the way.
